The first is from PatsyK at Family, Friends and Food , who bestowed the Blogging with a Purpose award. Thank you Patsy! I am honored. Patsy's blog is always an inspiring read. Think fuzzy slippers, comfy chair, awaited book, and a dinner tray decked out with favorite foods--that's how I feel when I pop in for a visit to Patsy's site. Open another browser window and visit right now.

The second award comes by way of Recipegirl, namely a Blog of Distinction Award. Thank you so much, Recipe Girl! Recipe girl has such a fun blog. I feel especially akin to her since she is a fellow Californian (granted, I'm a displaced Californian--but as the current governor is famous for saying, "I'll be back.") You need to check out her past two posts in particular. The first is for an edamame dumpling (easy, healthy, delicious--what more could you ask for?) made with wonton wrappers and frozen shelled edamame. The second is for cheesecake pops (Patsy made some chocolate ones, too); as a self-professed cheesecake freak, I was tempted to drop everything and head to the store for the ingredients.

I am passing along the award to the following people:
(1) Erin (a.k.a. Prudy) at PrudencePennywise. You don't need a cypher to determine her blogging slant: delicious, frugal eats. Prudy is a fellow cooking contester whom I've had the pleasure of meeting on more than one occasion (including a Cooking Light Contest where our hotel lost all power the first night and morning. In August. In the South. Good times!). Erin has been writing a terrific blog over on Rachael Ray's website (yes, that Rachael Ray; she met RR when she won the RR burger contest last year). Her new blog is as smart, witty and inspiring as she is.
(2) Sophie at Flour Arrangements. Go take a peek--now!--for a sugar rush (she makes savory food, too :). She bakes and writes with flair, and I'm in love with the design of her blog--it makes me want to dive headlong into the page.
(3) Tracy at RahChaChow. Tracy rocks--literally. In addition to being an award-winning cook, dedicated blogger, and mother, she also sings in a rock band. I am always cheered by her posts, which are a clear reflection of her humor and vivacity.
Cheers!

You certainly deserve your awards!
I totally agree with your choices for whom you passed them along to also... great blogs!
Camilla:
You made my day-week-month! I'm undeserving, I'm sure, but I'll accept the honor just the same. I'm still wondering how you do it all and still manage to find the time to be so kind.
Camilla - you are so deserving of both awards!
I must say, I love how you described visiting my blog... quite a compliment - Thanks! :)
Thanks so much! I was really surprised, definitely in a good way. So do I go ahead and post the award on one of my blog's columns...or how does this work :)?!
First, your blog totally deserves the recognition. I can't believe how well done it has been, even though you haven't been doing it for awhile. I feel like I floundered around for about a year before I started getting a clue as to what I was doing ... and still feel like I'm not where I'd like to be. Yours looked and sounded polished right off the bat.
And THANK YOU for the compliment! Humor and vivacity. Huh.
Anyway, I think YOU rock. I look at all you do and can't figure out how in the world you fit it all in.
Thanks Recipe girl!
Tracy and Prudy and Sophie--you are all so deserving!
Tracy, I hope I'm not the first to point out the humor in your blog--it is a delightful representation of you. And I adore the picture of your doggie peking at the cheesecake pops!
Sophie--you can cut and paste the award images to your blog and mention that you received it, and then "bestow" to others as I've done here--but only if you feel like it. No pressure; I don;t wat you to feel like this is a chain letter!
