I really like the Newman's Brand of salsas. So many yummy flavors, and they taste close to homemade. I love the tequila lime, but, since I like savory sweet combos, I'm also a fan of the mango and pineapple varieties. Here is a link with a list of all the options:

I love the idea of yummy cheap eats--that's pretty much how I lived through grad school, so I have a bunch of strategies in additon to recipes. My mother was also a very frugal shopper, so I feel it's almost in my blood now. My recipe for today (kefta) is inexpensive (especially if you buy the meat on sale and freeze it--I almost always buy meat and chicken that way), and the leftovers also freeze well for future meals.
I'm going to continue on the cheap and easy theme beginning next week--thanks for the great idea!
