My favorite way to use good-quality olive oil and balsamic vinegars are on salads, fresh out of the bottle. I also like to drizzle them on cooked potatoes, soft cheeses and use them as a dip for crusty breads.

I love drizzling extra virgin olive oil over pasta with fresh tomatoes, fresh basil and Parmesan. You also can't beat it mixed with fresh herbs and red pepper flakes as a crusty bread dip. I've also had a delicious olive oil ice cream that I plan on making someday. I'll have to add that to my "To Do" list.

Lovely giveaway Camilla!

Really good OO and really good balsamic go best with fresh baked bread! I love to use OO on salads, grilled veggies and in almost all of my cooking. This is a great giveaway, thanks for having it!

Favorite would be a meal of a simple pasta, thinly sliced garlic, basil or spinach chiffonade, maybe diced fresh tomatoes drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. This would be served with a Tomato and Basil Salad sprinkled with Balsamic Vinegar and extra virgin olive oil and a fresh loaf of some Rustic Bread dipped in Balsamic Vinegar, and more extra virgin olive oil. Perhaps an Olive Oil cake for a parting shot.

Thank you for this giveaway!

I love O&Co's products! My favorite is their balsamic vinegar.. whether it's drizzled over salad or used to carmelize onions... or drizzled over grape tomatoes and which are then roasted... the flavor can't be beat! Fabulous giveaway!

What a lovely giveaway...I just stumbled across your site and like just about everyone on here. It's so nice to find someone who cooks more or less like I do.

great olive oil? It's got to be in a dijon mustard salad dressing.

Reading all the previous comments has totally thrown me for a loop! I love good olive oil and balsamic in so many forms! On grilled veggies or crusty bread is at the top of my list though.

Like most have said, we love to use them on salads. We make all of our own dressings... no corn syrup sweetened dressings for us! But we also love to drizzle them on tomato and mozzarella, or tomato and cucumber salads. Balsamic vinegar, slightly reduced, is also a great compliment to most fish. We love it over salmon!

I love using good olive oil in a honey olive oil cake with drenched berries that I've made.

I use olive oil for absolutely everything. We don't use dairy so it works as a great substitute for that, too. I love a good balsamic vinegar on salads.

Suzanna said...

I thought I'd already liked your page! Well, it's done now.

I recently made balsamic vinegar/non-Oreo ice cream for the second time. It sounds weird (which is why I had to try it), but it's spectacular! It may not seem like it, but the quality does matter for this: reducing the balsamic vinegar seemed to emphasize the weaknesses of my the cheaper (more usual) vinegar that I used this time.

This is also my favorite use, but that might be because I'm in the mood for ice cream right now and there's still a little bit left in the freezer...

Mmm...I love good bread dipped in olive oil, and I love eggs fried in it too. What ISN'T good in olive oil?!
I liked both pages. Thanks for the give away!

We've been making our own bread and using olive oil mixed with balsamic vinegar, herbs, and parm cheese. The best part? My 3 and 5 year old both love it, and my 5yo even helps me mix it! My secret to crusty homemade bread is to through a few ice cubes in the bottom of the hot oven when you bake it-yum!

Our latest olive oil obsession has been truffle oil - in risotto, a little bit on some french bread with a delicious cheese..... YUM!

I love to use oilve oil in both dressings and when roasting or grilling vegetables.

My favorite is crusty bread drenched in olive oil!

Love both olive oil and balsamic as base for a variety of dressings on fresh greens!

I love strawberries marinated in balsamic vinegar. Simply add a tablespoon of sugar to a half cup of balsamic vinegar, mix, and let sit. Add sliced strawberries and let them marinate. They're delicious by themselves, or added to yogurt or vanilla ice cream. My favorite way to enjoy them is served on top of a piece of cinnamon toast (made with a nice slice of italian or french bread), topped with homemade whipped cream, toasted pine nuts, and fresh basil. Yummy! :)

Cookingforyou said...

my favorite way.. ohhh let me count them, in salad dressing with frsh garlic and lemon juice, to make garlic confit then use the flavored olive oil to make croutons or to add to roasted veggies or even to make rice. Add the Vinager to fresh garden tomatoes and some fleur du sal and your set!
