Welcome to enlightened cooking! My name is Camilla Saulsbury (above with my husband, Kevin, and son, Nick) and this is my personal blog where I share my fast, fresh, mostly-vegetarian (flexitarian) recipes. I am unabashedly obsessed with eating heaps of superfoods, which is a very good thing considering I also love baking of all kinds in general, and desserts in particular. It's all about finding a happy, healthy balance.

I've been very fortunate to compete in--and win--quite a few recipe contests and cook-offs. Here are some of my contest wins and the accompanying recipes (the exotic spice cookies and born in berkeley burgers are my favorites). I also write cookbooks, and develop recipes for companies and corporations. Here are examples of the recipes I developed for Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry.
Beyond cooking and writing about food, I am also passionate about fitness.
I've been teaching a wide range of fitness classes for almost two decades, including, but not limited to, pilates, yoga, spinning, kickboxing, strength training. I've also spent many years as a personal trainer. I hold certifications in both personal training and fitness instruction through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and I am a STOTT® certified pilates instructor. When I'm not teaching classes, I love to get out and run, swim, and hike, as well as generally play out of doors with Nick, Kevin, and friends.
